A lot of people (at least in where I come from) tend to deny the meaning of peer pressure or assume it has got something to do with only extreme behaviour etc. The fact is, we want to share our hopes, dreams and success stories with those who are near us – and we do need support and new ideas for greater achievements. Growth is less painful when you are in the right company.

I can attest to the whole “expect resistance from those who care about you the most.” It’s really hard to disassociated with them considering I invested so much time getting to know them. I’m comforted in the fact that hard work pays off and, just as you said, if I stick it out – it’ll work out in the end.

I call myself an entrepeneur, im someone always looking for innovation in any area. But lately i’ve been “victim”(i couldn’t find other word to explain this) of my peer group or my workgroup.

How they demotivate me to achieve, to go trought, to go beyond, to break the limits and to effort to stretch my limits, has a simple explanation. Your explanation Ravi. But as you said, im “right now” aware of this situation. My peers doesn’t share my beliefs. Now is time to change my social circle.

In all my life i had known people who likes to set higher standards for them, but i hanged out with the “lower standards” crowd.
